A camera bag is definitely an essential item for any wedding photographer. The Think Tank Airport Navigator rolling bag has been a life saver and is the perfect camera bag for wedding photographers! I have been using this bag since 2014 and it has been so perfect! As a wedding photographer you literally have to take all your equipment with you to every wedding. It’s so convenient for all my equipment to be in one bag and it rolls!! This bag has been so helpful for the past 3 years so I wanted to share it with all of you! Here are 5 of my favorite things about the Think Tank Airport Navigator camera bag!
1. It not only holds all of my camera equipment, but it also has a spot for my 15in Macbook Pro!
Any wedding photographer knows how important it is to be able to bring your laptop to a wedding. If your second shooter does not have a camera with a dual memory card slot then you need your computer to download their images so you do not have to meet up later in the week to get the images! Also, some photographers do same day slideshows at wedding reception and sue their laptops. So it’s perfect this bag has a spot for a laptop.
2. It has SO many pockets!
Ant camera bag for wedding photographers has to have pockets! Lots of pockets! If you are anything like me, then you love pockets! These pockets are great for batteries, extra lens caps, expo disc, or any other small items you like to carry. It’s perfect because it keeps everything organized!
3. It has a handle on the top (and another pocket!) for when you need to carry it rather than roll it.
If you are at a location that has stairs, it is ten times easier to just pick the bag up by the handle rather than trying to drag it up the stairs. Also, many venues have rocky roads rather than paved roads which makes it difficult to roll your bag. from the car to the venue.
4. All of the inserts are removable and can be changed to fit your equipment however you’d like!
All the small dividers and the large divers velcro together to create compartments for your equipment. If you only have prime lens then you wouldn’t need a long spot for a 70-200mm. Everything is customizable, making it perfect for anyone! They also send you TONS of extra dividers!
5. Lastly, it opens form the top when standing and from the side when lying on the ground.
At first glance you may not think this is super useful, but it is! For example, if you have a wedding where the bridal party is getting ready at a hotel and then they are heading to the venue, you’d only really need your necessities and can leave the rest in the car. So when you pack your gear at home you can have your 50mm on your camera already, unzip the bag from the top if it’s in the floor in the backseat, grab it out, and head inside the hotel without having to maneuver it out! If it were in your trunk, then you would just unzip it from the side and grab the equipment you need!
I am pretty positive this bag will work for everyone, unless of course you equipment list grows! But, this is by far the best camera bag for wedding photographers with all the basic equipment you would need.
