Fall evenings like this are always a favorite. As a Dallas family photographer, I love the soft glow that comes just before sunset. Cam and Cathy’s session at Flippen Park had the most beautiful light from start to finish.

Flippen Park is such a timeless location in Dallas. The white gazebo, brick paths, and surrounding greenery create a setting that feels both classic and relaxed. It photographs beautifully in the evening light.
Cam and Cathy chose this spot for their fall mini session, and it could not have fit them better. The soft tones of their outfits paired so well with the neutral surroundings and warm light.
A Fall Session with Nelson
They brought their golden retriever, Nelson, and he was the sweetest addition to their session. He was calm, well behaved, and so easy to photograph. He stayed right by their side and made every image feel even more personal.
They shared that they take a photo each year for their Christmas card with Nelson. It is such a meaningful tradition and one I love getting to be a small part of.

We moved through a few areas of the park and used the best light as the sun started to set. The gazebo created a beautiful focal point, and the fountain nearby added such a soft, romantic feel to the images.
This was my first time meeting Cam and Cathy, and they were so natural together. They were relaxed, easygoing, and fully present. That always makes a session feel effortless.
Some of the best moments came in between poses. A quick smile, a shared look, or a quiet moment with Nelson made the session feel genuine and unforced.
