Prather Park Fall Family Session
As a photographer, this Prather Park family session with the Cruse family was especially meaningful to me. I have photographed Weston and Ashley for years, starting with their engagement session, and it has been such a gift to continue documenting their family as it grows.
This fall morning mini session was filled with so much personality, laughter, and a little bit of real life mixed in.

A Fall Morning Mini Session with Two Young Boys
Fall mornings at Prather Park are always beautiful. The light filters through the trees in the softest way, and the colors create such a warm and timeless setting for a family session.
The Cruse family brought such a sweet dynamic. Their youngest was a little shy and not totally loving photos at first, which is so normal at this age. I always remind parents that this is part of the story, and we gently work through it.
Their oldest, though, was full of personality. He was smiley, playful, and loved showing me who he is. Those moments always end up being some of my favorites because they feel so genuine.

Why I Love Photographing Returning Families
Being a Dallas family photographer at Prather Park means I get to see families come back year after year. That is something I never take for granted.
With Weston and Ashley, there is already so much trust. They know my process, and I know how they interact as a family. That allows their session to feel relaxed and natural from the very beginning.
It also means I get to see the growth. From their engagement season to now chasing little boys around the park, every chapter matters. Getting to document that over time is one of the most meaningful parts of what I do.

Simple Moments That Matter Most
Some of my favorite moments from this session were not perfectly posed. They were the in between moments.
Dad carrying one of the boys. Mom laughing as they tried to wrangle everyone together. The boys playing and exploring.
These are the moments that tell the real story of a family. They may not always look perfect, but they feel real, and that is what lasts.

Planning Your Own Dallas Family Session at Prather Park

Ashley wore a beautiful dress from Tuckernuck, which photographed so well in the soft morning light. You can find similar styles here.
