There is something so special about getting to photograph a family over the years. As a McKinney newborn photographer, these are the moments that mean the most. Getting to meet this sweet baby boy and document this new season for their family was such an honor.
McKinney Newborn Photographer at Lemon Drop Studio
We met at Lemon Drop Studio, a light-filled space his mom loves and has chosen before. It was the perfect setting for a calm, cozy newborn session that felt relaxed and intentional.
This little one is their third baby, and their second boy. I photographed his big brother’s newborn session years ago, and it was so fun to see just how much they look alike. He has a full head of hair and the same sweet features. It felt like stepping back in time in the best way.
Their middle child, a little girl, brought so much personality to the session, and the three of them together were so much fun to watch. There were dance parties, jumping on the bed, and so many moments filled with laughter. It never felt forced, just genuine joy and connection.
A Relaxed and Joyful Newborn Session
We kept the session relaxed and interactive. There were snuggles on the couch, tickles, and a few flying moments that the kids loved. These are always some of my favorite parts of a newborn session because they allow siblings to feel included and comfortable, rather than expected to sit perfectly still.
And the baby did so well through it all. He was calm, content, and so easy to photograph. We were able to move between the bed and a soft settee setup, capturing a mix of gently guided and more natural, in-between moments.
A Family That Feels Like Home
Mom and dad are truly the kindest people. Dad serves as a firefighter and mom has a background in nursing, and you can just feel the care and steadiness they bring into their home. Their love for their kids shows up in the simplest ways, and it made documenting this season such a joy.
Sessions like this are such a reminder that it is not about perfection. It is about connection, movement, and the way a family simply is together in this season.
