Looking for a Bear Creek Park family photographer? The Bibbee family’s summer mini session was such a full circle moment for me. Six years after photographing their wedding day, I had the joy of seeing them again, this time with two sweet little ones running around the same beautiful Texas sunshine.

One of my favorite parts of this job is getting to photograph families through different seasons of life. Watching wedding couples become parents is something that never gets old.

From Wedding Day To Family Photos

I photographed the Bibbees’ wedding six years ago, and it was so much fun catching up with them again.

Since then, their family has grown by two.

Their daughter, born in early 2023, has such a fun personality and kept everyone laughing throughout the session. Their little boy was all smiles whenever Mom or Dad picked him up, and he loved taking in everything happening around him.

These are the kinds of sessions that remind me how quickly life changes.

Why Bear Creek Park Is Perfect For Families

Bear Creek Park has become one of my favorite locations for family sessions.

I especially love this quiet field tucked away beside the wooden fence. It feels open and peaceful without being crowded. The large oak trees provide beautiful shade, while the open grass gives little ones plenty of room to explore.

One of the best parts is how natural everything feels. Instead of forcing children to sit perfectly still, we can let them play, run, laugh, and simply enjoy being together.

Letting Kids Be Kids

Some of my favorite moments happened when nobody was trying to pose.

Their daughter twirled through the grass while her parents smiled at her. She ran underneath a blanket as Mom and Dad held it overhead. She proudly snuggled close for a family hug before flashing the biggest smile toward my camera.

Their little boy loved being tossed into the air and cuddled close with his mom. Every time she lifted him up, he couldn’t stop smiling back at her.

Those genuine interactions always become the photographs families treasure the most.

Family Photos That Tell Your Story

Perfect smiles aren’t what make family photographs meaningful.

It’s the way your daughter wraps her arms around your legs. The way your baby reaches for your face. The laughter after someone starts spinning in circles. Those little moments become some of your favorite memories years later.

The Bibbee family’s session was full of exactly those moments, and I loved documenting this chapter after first meeting them on their wedding day.
