Nick & Katelyn | Mimosa Hall | Crowley, TX

Nick planted bluebonnets for 10 years, and for 9 of those 10 years, the bluebonnets never bloomed. On the 10th year, the year he proposed to Katelyn, the bluebonnets bloomed and with them he made her a bouquet on the day he asked her to be his wife.

Bluebonnets hold a unique part in Nick and Katelyn’s story. They are significant in their proposal story and their wedding day as bluebonnets could be found in the bride’s bouquet of sunflowers and other flower arrangements. This bride and groom obviously have a captivating relationship–one that was told beautifully in and throughout their wedding day in Crowley, Texas.

The wedding was held at Mimosa Hall, a gorgeous setting with a staircase and chandelier to die for. The rustic, elegant details from the reception table decor to the cowboy boots worn by the bride and bridal party carried a significant purpose. But the focus was on Nick and Katelyn as guests filled the hall and recited their vows to each other. The couple shared an intimate moment during their wedding ceremony while they partook in the Lord’s Supper. Some of their bridal party sang while they broke bread and had a few minutes with each other before they were officially announced man and wife.

After the ceremony, the father of the bride shared a toast and first dance with his little girl, now married. Nick and Katelyn went dancing on their first date and love dancing together, so it only made sense for dancing to be important to them at the reception! The bride and groom, with their bridal party, shared a special (and fun!) dance to Honky Tonk Badonkadonk with their guests. After that dance, they asked all their guests to dance with them to the song, Copperhead Road! This couple was so much fun and kept the reception lively with their dance skills.

Nick and Katelyn were obviously made for each other as you will see scrolling through their pictures. I was honored to capture their once-in-a-lifetime day! Congratulations to the newlyweds!
